Neykovtsi Dam

Neykovtsi dam is located in the valley of the river Neykovska, up Neykovtsi residential area of the town of PLachkovtsi and about 7.5 km southward to the town of Tryavna.

Its construction started in 1978 but the construction works were stopped couple of times ast the last (the final one) was in 2001. The site consists of dam wall, diversion gallery, cylindrical intake tower, bottom outlet, grout curtain, frontal spillway on the left slope, two catchment derivations with 4 water catchments and a potable water treatment plant.

Plovdivtsi Dam

Plovdivtsi dam is located in the south part of the Rhodope Mountains, in Smolyan Region, near the border with Greece, 14 km from the town of Rudozem.

The initial investigation and design were performed in 1980-1985 period. The design contains a dam wall, weir (incorporated in the wall), intake tower with shaft spillway and bottom outlet, diversion gallery and potable water treatment plant. The dam wall is of rock-fill type with asphalt-concrete diaphragm and two-row grout curtain deep 35 metres.

Luda Yana Dam

Luda Yana dam is located 2 km to the northeast of the town of Panagyurishte.

The construction started in 1985 and stopped in 2000. The dam consists of a dam wall, intake tower, diversion gallery, bottom outlet, spillway, potable water treatment plant

Studena Dam

Studena dam is located in the valley of Struma river, at about 0.5 km up the village of Studena and 15 km from the town of Pernik, Sofia Region.

The dam was constructed in 1953-195, mainly for the regulation of the stream of Struma river and its tributaries the rivers Matnitsa and Kladnitsa, for industrial and potable water supply in the region of the town Pernik, for energy production and protection of agricultural lands from flooding. The dam regulates water from its own catchment as well as additional water via the Vladayski and Palakariyski.

PWTP - Studena

The purpose of Studena-Pernik PWTP is to provide potable water for the town of Pernik and the surrounding settlements by treating the row water from Studena Dam. Decades of underinvestment with limited technical and managerial capacity have caused poor conditions of the structures and the mechanical equipment .
